Bits and Bobs

I went shopping with my sister and inevitably spent more than I should have! I'm at that stage where I'm so bored of everything in my wardrobe though, so it's nice to inject some fun new things :)
All of them are from H&M, so nothing was too extravagant. I've been wanting high waisted denim shorts for aaages, so £15 for these is alot better than £20 for the ones I saw in New Look..

The black dress is alot like one that Zara had out a while ago, but at £15 was probably alot cheaper.. I just got it for work, even though some would say it's 'too short'..! In my humble opinion black tights make everything ok :)

I got this tan shift dress for a 30th at a fancy hotel,because after looking through my wardrobe I sadly realised that I really don't have any 'classy' things to wear! I love it and think the shape is so flattering, but it didn't seem to photograph well.. the colour has a slight sheen to it in the light which is really pretty. It was £24.99, but I thought seeing as it was needed for a special occasion I could be bad and get it!

That's all really, still trying to cut back on spending so no more shopping for me!

New Things (Primark, DIY)

I went to Primark again (oops!) and picked up just a couple of things. I was quite excited to find this bag as I've needed a smaller bag with enough room in it still for my stuff for a while, and I love this one. I also got some chinos, just because I'm bored of just having black trousers for work - there was heaps of different colours, but only 'duck egg' in my size.. I do like it though, luckily :)

I got a bit scared after reading about how bad the paraffin wax most candles are made out of is when you're burning it, so I did a bit of research and not only is soy wax so much cleaner to burn, it also lasts longer and is meant to have a brighter flame and 'throw' scent better - lovely! I now have a pretty Soy wax vanilla scented cocktail candle :)


I've had quite a good weekend, just relaxing with some Jonathan Creek after work on Friday (what a hellish day at work that was!!) and out for a couple of drinks on Saturday night with friends, which as usual ended in some McDonalds fine dining lol. It's Sunday now and I'm a bit sad that I've got to get up for work again tomorrow, but never mind, I have a week and 2 days off as of Thursday.. seriously can't wait :D just 3 more days to get through, and I always try to be optimistic and hope that each new week might be better than the last.. wish me luck lol

Tiny Weeny Primark Haul

Being bored in the centre of town isn't good, "let's just nip into primark, just to have a look.. I won't buy anything!"


I love the top, it has a cottony front with a chest pocket and a sheer back with a big dip and a chiffony bow which I can't wait to wear on a night out. (with a bandeau top or something underneath if I can't find a backless bra that I trust obv!)

I'm not sure about the boots, should I take them back? Should I keep them? Or take them back? ..or keep them? I have one on my foot right now and it's so comfy. I think they look like a modernised version of Victorian children's boots with the string laces and shaped toe/studded strap, I'm just not sure how much I'll wear them :/ guess I'll have to see if I end up reaching for them when getting ready or not!!

We also went to the park, it's so rare for my days off work to be lovely so we took our superhealthy McDonalds and sat in the sun for a while :)
